Robert Gass is passionately committed to building strong leaders, organizations, and movements for social justice and environmental sustainability. Over the last 40+ years, he has trained thousands of global social change activists, political leaders, and socially responsible business leaders in the inner and outer arts of leadership.
Robert co-founded the Rockwood Leadership Institute, where he created the training methodology and trained the initial Rockwood trainers. He has also trained hundreds of consultants and coaches in his approach to leadership development and large systems change through his program, The Art of Transformational Consulting.
As a coach, Robert has worked with top leaders of organizations such as the NAACP, Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood, United Auto Workers, MoveOn.org, National Congress of American Indians, National Domestic Workers Union, Community Change, Greenpeace International, and SEIU). In the political sphere, he has worked with members of Congress and senior leaders and did in the Obama White House.
Robert’s work draws on a diverse background that includes training as a psychologist, running a hospice program, being a performing musician and successful recording artist, and a lifelong student of different forms of meditation.
With his wife of 50 years, Judith Ansara, Robert offers retreats on the art of relationship for committed couples. They live in Boulder, Colorado, and have three children, two grandchildren, a grand dog, and two grandrabbits. (www.robertgass.com)
