Ejeris Dixon

For 15 years Ejeris Dixon has been a political strategist and organizer working in economic justice, LGBTQ, anti-violence, and racial justice movements. Ejeris worked as the founding Program Coordinator of the Safe OUTside the System Collective at the Audre Lorde Project from 2005 to 2010. In this position, Ejeris worked to address police violence and hate by creating community based transformative justice strategies. From 2010 to 2013, Ejeris was Deputy Director of the Community Organizing Department at the New York Anti-Violence Project – directing advocacy efforts on a local, statewide, and national level to combat domestic violence, hate violence, and sexual violence. Ejeris received a Bachelor’s Degree in African American studies at Yale University and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Nonprofit Management at New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
